H1N1 Clinic will be held in the school gymnasium on November 4 for school aged children. Please note that parents of students in K, 1 or 2 must accompany their children or these children will not receive the shot at school even if you have returned the consent form. When your child’s class is scheduled, please go directly to the classroom and escort your child back to the gym area. Students will be required to remain in the gym area for 15 minutes following the shot. If your child is in Grades 3 or 4 and you wish to accompany of course you may, but it is not required. If you are unable to come to the school during the allotted time there will be an evening clinic at JMA where your child can receive their shot on November 4. Also if you have more than one child at our school, please feel free to have all your school aged children immunized while you are here in the building. We ask parents for their patience with this process as the times on the schedule below are only approximate. Thank you!!!

Home & School would like you to know that they are collecting Salisbury Save – easy receipts (they receive $2.00 for every $1000 worth of receipts) and also Campbell ’s labels. To see what labels are used for please visit www.labelsfor education.ca or see the Home & School Wall in our school’s front foyer. It’s also not to late to become a Home & School member! If you need a membership they can be picked up at the school office. All are welcome!

Cafeteria news: The Tuesday Balanced Choice special has been changed to Mashed Tater Bowl ( 2 scoops mashed potatoes, topped with corn, hamburg , gravy & cheese) and milk. They also now have bagel pizza ( ½ bagel with pizza sauce, hamburg and cheese for $1.65. New to the menu also are Chicken fingers and fries $4.85 ( fingers alone are $3.60). Our cafeteria no longer provides plastic utensils and therefore we are asking students not to leave the cafeteria with our stainless steel ones! Lso if your child needs a spoon, etc. for their recess treat please pack one!

Hope you Understand…Some of our friends have been forgetting their lunch and our school has been accommodating them with a lunch from the cafeteria with the expectation that the children pay for their lunch the next day. However, many of our friends are forgetting to do so…because of this we will no longer be able to provide lunches for forgotten ones…thanks for your understanding.

Learning for all!
